This is a wiki for researchers in the quantum nanomaterials lab at Oxford. It is maintained by Edward Laird.
Getting started
To become a user, email the Wiki Steward (currently Paul Warren). Although membership is mostly restricted to our own group, we are open to other people and groups joining. Being a user gives you permission to view and edit wiki pages.
Editing pages
Editing a page is easy - click on the 'edit' link at the top of the page. Wiki pages are written in a markup language similar to HTML or Latex (but simpler). It's easy to learn by diving into other people's pages, and you can also see For Editors and Editing. If you make a mistake it can easily be reverted (by you or any other user) at any time, so be bold!
Creating pages
The easiest way to create a new page is to search for the page title. Assuming it doesn't already exist, you will be presented with a link to create it. Don't feel obliged to make it a complete page right away -- if limitations of time/expertise prevent you from completing an article, flag it as a Stub by putting the text {{stub}} near the bottom of the page to automatically add it to the category of stubs.
