This is a wiki for researchers in the quantum nanomaterials lab at Oxford. It is maintained by Edward Laird.

Getting started

If you are at Lancaster and interested in becoming a user, email Edward. Being a user gives you permission to view and edit wiki pages. If you have expertise of wiki maintenance or running a cloud server and would like to help run the wiki, you are especially welcome.

Editing pages

Editing a page is easy - click on the 'edit' link at the top of the page. Wiki pages are written in a markup language similar to HTML or Latex (but simpler). It's easy to learn by diving into other people's pages, and you can also see For Editors and Editing. If you make a mistake it can easily be reverted (by you or any other user) at any time, so be bold!

Creating pages

The easiest way to create a new page is to search for the page title. Assuming it doesn't already exist, you will be presented with a link to create it. Don't feel obliged to make it a complete page right away -- you can flag a draft page as a Stub by putting the text {{stub}} near the bottom of the page to automatically add it to the category of stubs. To keep the wiki useful please also categorize your pages according to the available categories. For more information, see Starting a new page.
